This little girl, (an Orchard Spider, aka Long Jaw), has been hanging out near my outdoor office desk for the past week. I have kept an eye on her, but since she has discreetly maintained her coordinates and offered me no surprises, I agreed to let her stay.

She is not even as large as the dull end of my drawing pencil, so I can’t see more than a brown dot with legs. In an attempt to get to know her better, I took a photo and blew it up. It is  amazing how much color and detail she exhibits!

Ok… yes, even so, I still get the willies.
