Ailsa’s travel theme this week is Pale. March was a very pale month here in Indiana, and this dove sitting amongst the buds of our maple tree expresses pale quite beautifully.

However, the cardinal’s splash of brilliance in the same pale surroundings was too much for my camera to resist.

But the chubby little junko is the embodiment of pale as he sits in a nearby bush.
