An 1800’s cabin is relocated: I immediately thought of the work my brother has been doing with an old cabin when I read Ailsa’s travel theme challenge this week.
When a farmer was planning to plow up a field with the house sitting on it, my brother “rescued” the building. He was able to date the building (1876) via a letter left in the chinking sent from the Montana Territory that speaks about the timeframe of the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
My brother had an architect create the plans for a home around the unusual 2 story cabin which he relocated on 40 beautiful acres. It is an amazing work in process.
I love that he is saving this beautiful cabin and I like how the plans for new and old mesh so well. Thanks for sharing!
